The procedure Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HOLEP) is one I use to treat prostate enlargement. After HOLEP, bleeding is reduced, and the catheter can be removed the next day, and the patient can be discharged. Transient urinary incontinence is the only problem. For small kidney stones, we perform RIRS (flexible ureteroscopy) and lomium laser lithotripsy. The Holmium laser has many other applications in urology.
